Wound Care and Management Program

Silver Springs is recognized as a “Center of Excellence for Wound Management” by Vohra Wound Physicians for its verified, outcomes-focused, Physician Specialist-led, Wound Care Program. Only a handful of facilities in Connecticut have received this award. 

Silver Springs wound care and management program includes:

  • A Wound Care Specialist Physician treats patients at Silver Springs on a weekly basis.  
  • A designated, accountable Wound Certified Nurse(s) is on duty seven days per week.
  • Less than 1% wound-related hospitalization rate
  • Regular Team Meetings with a Focus on Quality and Process Improvement (QAPI)
